4 Reasons You Need to Travel to Denver

Look no further than Denver, Colorado for breathtaking outdoor experiences, 300 days of temperate sunshine each year, and a hipster brewery scene. With the massive increase in population over the last few years, the city is evolving and constantly offering new attractions for visitors. If you are seeking an unforgettable vacation destination, we have a list of reasons Denver is absolutely where you should book your next flight.

1. The mountains are calling.

When people picture Denver, most immediately envision the Rocky Mountains. Whether you are in the heart of downtown or the outskirts of the city, there is a constant reminder of their presence. This can be observed through the scenic views to the west, mountain-themed business names, and the Colorado Rockies baseball team.

Though the mountains technically aren’t in Denver, the city has 14,000 acres of parks in the nearby foothills of the Rocky Mountains that are approximately a 20-minute drive away. For reference, their park system is so large that it could cover almost the entire island of Manhattan. To plan your trip, look into Mount Evans, Bear Creek Trail, The Bluffs Loop, the Georgetown Loop Railroad, and Estes Park. 2. Embrace your inner ski bum.

If you enjoy thrills and winter sports, skiing is an excellent activity for you in Denver. Compared to the Colorado cities famous for skiing, such as Aspen and Vail, Denver is often overlooked as a skiing destination. However, the city still had plenty of options and can be more convenient compared to the other cities. Some of the top ski resorts include Winter Park Resort, Loveland Ski Area, Aropahoe Basin, and Eldora Mountain Resort. For more information, visit this website.

3. Got beer?

If you are a beer aficionado, Denver has more than enough drinking options for you. According to Insider, Denver is ranked as the 2nd best U.S. city for breweries. The city is packed with microbreweries, brewpubs, and taverns. Some of the most popular places include Wynkoop Brewing Company, Rock Bottom Brewery, and Breckenridge Brewery. Additionally, Denver is home to the biggest brewery in the world. Coors Brewery produces over 17 million barrels of beer yearly. It hosts tours, offers samples, and is one of the most popular breweries in the world.

Additionally, Denver hosts America’s largest beer festival in the world. The Great American Beer Festival takes place every October at the Colorado Convention Center. It includes over 700 American brewer participants, over 3,500 different beer options, and hosts over 30,000 yearly visitors.

4. Let’s get artsy.

Denver has a thriving art and culture scene with state-of-the-art museums and hip art districts.

Of all of the city attractions, the Denver Art Museum is one of the most notable and recognizable. It is particularly known for its wide range of Native American art, but it has such a wide variety of exhibits that it can cater to all visitors. The Clyfford Still Museum is also one of the top museums. This museum is dedicated to Still’s life and revolutionary work.

Finally, the Santa Fe and RiNo Arts Districts include multiple modern art galleries and studios. During the first Friday of every month, First Friday Art Walks allow the public to visit most of the galleries throughout the evening and they also provide live music, food trucks, and other activities.
